Market capitalization held at about <strong>\u20a693.7\u201393.8 trillion<\/strong>. The slight decline in index reflects cautious trading rather than a strong directional move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Volume, Turnover &amp; Deals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Market activity cooled compared to the prior session: a total of <strong>495 million shares<\/strong> changed hands in <strong>25,600+ deals<\/strong>. &nbsp;This volume is down from ~624 million shares traded the prior day. Interestingly, though volume declined, turnover (value traded) improved by ~29% compared to the prior trading day, indicating that heavier or higher-priced stocks were in focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sector &amp; Stock Movements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of the 128 equities that traded, <strong>23 gained<\/strong> and <strong>36 lost<\/strong> ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Top gainers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regalins (REGALINS)<\/strong> was the strongest mover, rising <strong>8.82%<\/strong> to close at \u20a61.48.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prestige Assurance (PRESTIGE)<\/strong> followed with a <strong>6.71%<\/strong> gain to \u20a61.75.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Others like <strong>Wapic<\/strong>, <strong>Legend Internet<\/strong>, and <strong>CWG<\/strong> also posted appreciable gains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Top losers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Austin Laz (AUSTINLAZ)<\/strong> led the decline list, plunging <strong>7.94%<\/strong> to \u20a62.90.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fidson Healthcare (FIDSON)<\/strong> fell <strong>6.67%<\/strong>.&nbsp; Also under pressure were <strong>Deapcap<\/strong>, <strong>Caverton<\/strong>, and <strong>Berger<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Active Stocks &amp; Value Leaders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fidelity Bank<\/strong> was the most actively traded by volume, with ~50.9 million shares.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chams Holdings<\/strong> was next with ~37 million shares traded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In terms of value, <strong>MTN Nigeria<\/strong> led with ~\u20a62.4 billion in transactions, followed by <strong>Dangote Cement<\/strong> (~\u20a62.3 billion), <strong>Lafarge\/WAPCO<\/strong> (~\u20a62.2 billion), <strong>Zenith Bank<\/strong>, and <strong>Aradel Holding<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;Outlook and What This Means<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s flat outcome underscores a degree of investor hesitation\u2014despite pockets of activity in insurance, midcaps, and select banking names.
